With the increasing number of websites, scams are also increasing at a higher rate. People now a days shop a lot at online shopping websites due to low price and fast shipping but they are unaware that they might become the victim of online scam.

How to be safe while shopping online ?

1. Make sure the website you are visiting is safe and secure. It must starts with https://, means its a secure.
2. Cross check the name of the website in address bar and make sure it doesn’t have any spelling mistake. Usually scammers make a similar website with spelling mistake.
3. Try to avoid websites offering high end products at low cost. They will run away with your money and you will never receive the product.
4. If you are buying product from a market place like Flipkart or Amazon make sure to buy from the sellers with good feedback ratings.
5. As soon as you receive the product only accept if there’s no sign of tampering. Reject if the parcel seems suspicious.
6. Always make a full video of product inboxing, no matter its costly or not.
7. If you are buying products like Shoes, Mobile phones, Camera, Laptop etc., do match the serial no. / IMEI of the product with outer box in unboxing video. As recently my friend bought Apple earpodes from a famous website and after unboxing he came to know that the product is fake and the serial no. of the earpodes is not matching with the serial no. mentioned on the outer box.
8. If the product is not as described or fake but submit the return request within given timeline and when customer care executive will contact you, inform him that you have the unboxing video also.
